The hostages who were released from Overlea this morning have been identified by Baltimore County Police as the following:

• Bruce Connelly Smith, 62, who was released at about 9:25 a.m. Connelly owns and lives in the house on Walnut Avenue.

• Danille Renee Erhardt, 31, who also lives in the Walnut Avenue house, was released at 11:39 a.m.

• Kenneth Lewis Collins, 26, of the 5700-block of White Avenue 21206, was also released at 11:39 a.m. Collins was visiting Erhardt at the time of the incident.

Investigators have not yet released the name of the gunman’s girlfriend.

Last Two Hostages Released Baltimore County Police say the last two hostages have been released.  The hostages are listed in good condition.

Police say the suspect is still locked inside the house, but he’s making demands.  Police won’t detail those demands.  He’s now by himself, but still has a gun. Slideshow Hostage Situation In Overlea ABC2news.com is following breaking news out of Overlea.  Baltimore County police say a man with a gun is holding hostages inside a home on Walnut Avenue, near Bel Air Road. The situation started around 4am. 

Police say the gunman was broke into the house, looking for his girlfriend.  When the man didn’t find his girlfriend, he took the 3 people inside hostage.

After 9am, police tell ABC2news.com that the gunman released one of the hostages, a 62 year-old man.  Police say they are still negotiating with the gunman.

St. Michael Archangel school is near the scene.  Because of it, the school is closed.  Baltimore County police also used an automated phone alert system.  It automatically called people living in the area, telling them to lock themselves in their homes and stay away from windows.  If you live in the area and have questions about your safety, call Baltimore County police at (410) 887-5310.
